Welcome to the International Umm al-Biyara Project
A project directed by Stephan G. Schmid (Berlin) and Piotr Bienkowski (Manchester), in collaboration between the Association for the Understanding of Ancient Cultures (AUAC) and the Department of Antiquities of Jordan. Currently sponsored by the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL), the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Cluster of Excellence 264 „Topoi – The Formation and Transformation of Space and Knowledge in Ancient Civilizations“.
